Transfer Deadline Day

Today is transfer deadline day, and the transfer market closed at 11pm (uk time) this evening. It has been a busy day with big names leaving and entering the Premier League. Yesterday Gareth Bale moved from Tottenham to Real Madrid for a world record £85.3 million. Today Arsenal have signed German star Mesut Ozil for a club record of £42.4 million from Real Madrid. Earlier today Liverpool signed Sakho Llori for a combined fee of £25 million from PSG and Sporting Lisbon. Sunderland have made signings as Sessegnon moved from West Brom and Borini signed a loan deal from Liverpool. Be prepared to see lots of players holding new shirts.

It has been a big summer for Chelsea with Yossi Benayoun, Florent Malouda, Ross Turnbull, Paulo Ferreira and Jeffrey Bruma leaving the club at the end of last season. Before pre-season Chelsea signed Andre Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen for £18 million, Marko van Ginkel from Vitesse for £8 million, Isaiah Brown from West Brom for less than £1 million, Mark Schwarzer from Fulham for free and Cristian Cuevas from O'Higgins in Chile for £1.7 million. Cristian Cuevas has been loaned out to Vitesse for one season. Schurrle and van Ginkel had a good pre-season tour with Chelsea, and Schurrle even played for Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup final against Bayern Munich.

During pre-season Chelsea signed Croatian Stipe Perica from Croatian club Zadar for an undisclosed fee. On the 25th August 2013, Chelsea signed Brazilian star Willian for £30 million from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala. Also from Anzhi, Chelsea signed Samuel Eto'o for a season long loan. To finish the transfer window, Chelsea signed Ghana's Christian Atsu from Porto for £3.5 million. Christain Atsu was then loaned out to Vitesse for one season.

Goal keeper Thibaut Courtois has been loaned out to Athletico Madrid on another season long loan. Marko Marin has been loaned out to Sevilla for one season. Oriol Romeu has been loaned out to Valencia for one season. Lucas Piazon has been loaned out to Vitesse for one season. Other players such as Patrick Van Aanholt, Thorgan Hazard, Patrick Bamfrod and Wallace have also been loaned out for this season.

On deadline day, Liverpool signed Chelsea's Victor Moses on loan for one season. Victor Moses appeared very instrumental for Chelsea last season scoring many goals in the Europa League. On twitter the Nigerian said; "Really excited to be joining Liverpool this season and can't wait to make my debut now". Also on deadline day Sam Hutchinson (who spent last season at Nottingham Forest) has been loaned out to Vitesse for one season. The big news on deadline day is the last minute deal that saw Romelu Lukaku being loaned out to Everton for one season. The Belgian said "Signed @Everton on a season loan :-)" on twitter. The Belgian then received support from Ben Foster and Liam Ridgewell. Chelsea's next game is actually an away trip to Everton, and as part of the, Lukaku will not be playing, so he will have to wait another week to play his debut.

Chelsea have kept Demba Ba despite Arsenal wanting to sign him on loan for a season and Newcastle United wanting to sign him. Juan Mata has also stayed at Chelsea, and so has David Luiz despite there connections to move to Europe over the summer.
As always we would like to welcome our new signings and wish them well at Chelsea Football Club, we would also like to wish all our players being loaned out this season a good season. We will try and keep track of our players through out the season. We will be able to keep an eye on Oriol Romeu when his team Valencia play Swansea in the Europa League. We will keep an eye out on Moses and Lukaku through out the season as well as our youngsters playing in League One.

The coming weekend is the international break and Chelsea go into this break 2nd in the Premier League with 7 points. Chelsea play Everton away at Goodison Park on the 14th September, we will have a match report on this game on this website by the end of that weekend. Chelsea also start UEFA Champions League duties during the week after the Everton game with a game at Stamford Bridge against FC Basel. We will have plenty of previews before both of those games and a match report for both. Have a good international break and remember to follow us on twitter using @CarefreeCFC05 or searching Carefree-CFC

  1. Hey Daniel, do you want to participate in a football predictions tournament?
You'd be competing with other Chelsea fans for the chance to represent Chelsea in the tournament's final stage against the top fans of all the other Premiership clubs.
We've almost filled the 100 spots available, so let me know. It's completely free.

  2. There are so many transactions. I think Gareth Bale is the most sensational deal. Not only because of his high price. Him because he's a good game. Now at Real Madrid:http://www.wysjg.com/real-madrid-c-1_55/
. His football shirt is concerned.
